Here We Go Again

For this project, the focus was on creating a subtle but impactful visual effects moment that adds tension and atmosphere to the scene. The concept involved igniting the couch Sofia Camara is sitting on, gradually introducing fire elements while maintaining a natural, believable look within the original footage. To achieve this, the subtle movement of the couch and camera was tracked to accurately anchor the fire simulation to the environment. Multiple layers of fire, smoke, and drifting embers were composited together, with careful attention paid to interaction between the elements and the lighting of the scene. The final step involved detailed color grading and blending work to ensure the effects integrated seamlessly with the original footage, creating a convincing and cinematic result that enhances the emotional tone of the moment without overpowering the performance.
